The Plan of Action provides methodological guidance to develop a comprehensive human rights education strategy for young people at the national level that supports youth empowerment participation and inclusion. It addresses governments national human rights institutions and civil society organizations including youth movements and networks as well as education practitioners. Member States adopted the Plan of Action to guide implementation of the fourth phase (2020-2024) of the World Programme for Human Rights Education (2005-ongoing) proclaimed by the General Assembly in 2004 and structured in consecutive phases each focusing on a specific target sector or thematic area.

Le Règlement type traite de la classification des marchandises dangereuses de leur énumération de l'utilisation de la construction des épreuves et des agréments des emballages et des citernes mobiles ainsi que des procédures d'expédition incluant le marquage l'étiquetage le placardage et la documentation. Il vise à éviter les accidents matériels et de personnes et les dommages à l'environnement en cours de transport quel que soit le mode de transport utilisé et à assurer ainsi un niveau de sécurité élevé. La présente édition révisée contient de nouvelles dispositions et diverses dispositions révisées concernant notamment le transport des liquides visqueux; des matières qui polymérisent; des véhicules (y compris les véhicules électriques) et des piles au lithium.

This report summarizes the actions taken by Governments and by the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) on precursors to prevent chemical diversion and to implement the provisions of the United Nations Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988. The Report contains an account of the activities carried out during the reporting period; provides an overview of the major trends and developments in licit trade and trafficking in and illicit use of individual chemicals; contains a summary of seizures cases of suspicious and stopped shipments and diversions or attempted diversions; and details activities associated with illicit drug manufacture.

L'ADR est un texte réglementaire qui s'applique au transport international dans 53 pays. il s'applique au transport national routier dans beaucoup de pays (notamment les pays de l'Union européenne). L’ADR fixe les exigences relatives aux opérations de transport à la formation des conducteurs ainsi qu'à la construction et à l'agrément des véhicules. L'édition 2023 a été préparée sur la base d'amendements qui devraient entrer en vigueur le 1er janvier 2023 après acceptation par les Parties contractantes.

The Istanbul Protocol and the accompanying “Istanbul Principles” also serve as a global standard against which the delivery of expert legal and medical evidence can be benchmarked in the investigation and prevention of torture. The Istanbul Protocol should appeal to a wide variety of stakeholders including States civil society doctors psychologists social workers lawyers forensic specialists asylum officers human rights officers and many others.
World Migration Report 2024
Since 2000 IOM has been producing its flagship world migration reports every two years. The World Migration Report 2024 the twelfth in the world migration report series has been produced to contribute to increased understanding of migration and mobility throughout the world. The last two years saw major migration and displacement events that have caused great hardship and trauma as well as loss of life. In addition to the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza millions of people have been displaced due to other conflicts such as within and/or from the Syrian Arab Republic Yemen the Central African Republic the Democratic Republic of the Congo the Sudan Ethiopia and Myanmar. There have also been large scale displacements triggered by climate- and weather-related disasters in many parts of the world in 2022 and 2023 including in Pakistan the Philippines China India Bangladesh Brazil and Colombia. Further in February 2023 south-east Türkiye and northern Syrian Arab Republic experienced powerful earthquakes resulting in more than 50000 deaths. By March an estimated 2.7 million people had been displaced in Türkiye and many had been left homeless in the Syrian Arab Republic. This new edition presents key data and information on migration as well as thematic chapters on highly topical migration issues and is structured to focus on two key contributions for readers. Part I includes key information on migration and migrants (including migration-related statistics); and part II includes balanced evidence-based analysis of complex and emerging migration issues.

The ADR is a regulatory instrument that applies to international transport in 53 countries. it applies to national transportation by road in many countries (in particular the countries of the European Union). The ADR lays down requirements for transport operations driver training and the construction and approval of vehicles. The 2023 edition has been prepared on the basis of amendments which are set to enter into force on 1 January 2023 after acceptance by the Contracting Parties. (Two-volume Set)

The United Nations Disarmament Yearbook 2022 is the 47th volume and it summarizes developments and trends in 2022 on key issues of multilateral consideration at the international and regional levels. It reviews the activities of the General Assembly the Conference on Disarmament and the Disarmament Commission. The yearbook also contains a timeline that highlights events in multilateral disarmament in 2022.

Enhanced Statistical and Methodological Approach with Results
This report details the methodological and technical changes made to PCI 23 released on UNCTADstat 20 June 2023. PCI users are advised to consult the UNCTADStat Data Centre to download updated data and editable working files to ensure the most recent values are captured in their analysis. Statistics presented through the UNCTADStat Data Centre reflect the most up-to-date revision and should be considered the values of reference. The PCI is based on 42 indicators in 8 categories which refer to variables directly collected or calculated as a combination of other collected variables (see Appendix 4.1.). The indicators were updated with the most recently available data and revisions based on the same sources as the original PCI version before the update round described herein started. Only when the original source was no longer available was a new source sought.

Tirer parti de la migration aux fins d’un relèvement résilient et durable après la pandémie : chances et défis
Cette session s’est intéressée à l’état de la mobilité dans le monde dans le contexte des efforts mis en œuvre pendant et après la pandémie de COVID-19 et plus particulièrement à la contribution des migrants en tant qu’acteurs essentiels d’un relèvement socioéconomique résilient et durable. Elle visait principalement à faire mieux connaître les conséquences des chocs mondiaux pour la migration et le développement à dégager des enseignements et à formuler des recommandations visant à améliorer le soutien à apporter aux migrants à l’avenir. La session a offert à des représentants gouvernementaux à des membres de la diaspora à des universitaires à des représentants du secteur privé et à des organisations internationales et de la société civile l’occasion d’échanger des points de vue de mettre en commun des expériences et de partager des exemples de pratiques efficaces permettant de faire progresser les efforts visant à garantir des migrations sûres ordonnées et régulières et à renforcer des systèmes de santé publique ouverts aux migrants dans le but ultime de faire avancer la réalisation des objectifs de développement durable.Cette publication offre un compte rendu succinct des délibérations menées au cours des deux journées et présente un ensemble d’expériences de pratiques exemplaires et de recommandations partagées par les participants à la session.

La segunda edición del Diálogo Internacional sobre la Migración (IDM) en 2022 se celebró los días 24 y 25 de octubre sobre el tema Confluencia de crisis mundiales: los efectos de la inseguridad alimentaria y el cambio climático sobre la migración y los desplazamientos. La sesión fue un momento oportuno antes de la 27ª Conferencia de las Partes de la Convención Marco de las Naciones Unidas sobre el Cambio Climático (COP27) y se basó en los exitosos resultados del Foro de Examen de la Migración Internacional (FEMI) para abordar las complejas interrelaciones entre el cambio climático la seguridad alimentaria y la movilidad humana. La sesión fomentó el diálogo entre los Estados miembros y otros actores para desarrollar y aplicar planes de preparación y respuesta políticas y programas para hacer frente a las crisis mundiales relacionadas con el cambio climático y la seguridad alimentaria. Esta publicación presenta un informe de la sesión de dos días y ofrece al lector una recopilación de datos relevantes mejores prácticas enfoques innovadores y recomendaciones pertinentes para el debate sobre seguridad alimentaria cambio climático y movilidad compartidos en la reunión por expertos en migración gobiernos y otros profesionales.

Leveraging Digitalization for Productivity and Decent Employment
The Asia-Pacific Countries with Special Needs Development Report is a recurrent ESCAP annual publication that discusses issues of interest for Asia-Pacific least developed countries (LDCs) landlocked developing countries (LLDCs) and small island developing States (SIDS) collectively referred to as countries with special needs (CSN). The 2024 edition will explore the nexus between digitalization and automation and the two important parameters of productivity and decent employment in countries in special situations. This report examines the transformative role of digitalization and automation in enhancing the productive capacities of these countries. It zeroes in on the services sector and the digitalization of agricultural and industrial activities which has the potential to enhance productivity and job creation. However it also cautions against potential risks including job displacement and cybersecurity threats. To navigate these challenges the report discusses policy options for enhanced connectivity and infrastructure education and training tailored to the digital economy and regional cooperation to foster a conducive environment for digital trade and investment.

Crises mondiales imbriquées : conséquences de l’insécurité alimentaire et du changement climatique pour la migration et les déplacements
La deuxième édition du Dialogue international sur la migration (IDM) en 2022 a eu lieu les 24 et 25 octobre 2022 sur le thème «Crises mondiales imbriquées : conséquences de l’insécurité alimentaire et du changement climatique pour la migration et les déplacements». La session a eu lieu à un moment opportun avant la 27e Conférence des Parties de la Convention-cadre des Nations Unies sur les changements climatiques (COP27) et s'est appuyée sur les résultats fructueux du premier Forum international d'examen des migrations internationales (IMRF) pour aborder les liens complexes entre le changement climatique la sécurité alimentaire et la mobilité humaine. La session a encouragé le dialogue entre les États membres et les parties prenantes afin d'élaborer et de mettre en œuvre des plans de préparation et de réponse des politiques et des programmes pour faire face aux crises mondiales liées au changement climatique et à la sécurité alimentaire. Cette publication présente un rapport de la session de deux jours et offre au lecteur une compilation de données pertinentes de bonnes pratiques d'approches novatriceset de recommandations pertinentes pour la discussion sur la sécurité alimentaire le changement climatique et la mobilité telles que partagées par les experts en migration les gouvernements et les praticiens lors de la réunion.
